Tree Time!

Lil' Wren decorating

My husband put on a fireplace dvd!

Lil' Wrennie crawling under the tree.
Last week we got our Christmas Tree. We decided to go with an artificial. We saw this one and we just knew it was the one. They did not have any more left so we took the floor model for a discount.(woot woot!) It was quite hilarious shoving this tree into the truck! The girls had a great time decorating and my husband has a dvd of a crackling fireplace that we put on the tv!
It was great fun, I just wish that I was able to enjoy it more. This evil depression is still plaguing me. I had my meds switched a week ago, so hopefully soon they will help. I just can't stand being in this darkness, especially with all the light that surrounds me.

Until next time- keep your love light shining!

Depression Sucks Big Time!!!

It has been over a week since I have blogged. I  have been trying to consistently blog at least 2 days a week. Why haven't I you ask? Depression. Not a situational depression, like my life sucks or I have a shitty husband depression. The kind that comes from your chemicals in your brain being all wonky!  I have awesome children, a husband who supports all my dreams and aspirations, and we can pay the bills. But still... the funk. I just don't want to do anything. The activities that would normally bring me joy- I have no interest in. I have not made art in over a month and I am faking it with everything else. I see my Dr. on Friday, but I have just about lost faith in him too. This constant game of adjusting medications is getting to me... bad! Alas, I will not give up. That is not in my nature. I am a survivor!
Below is one reason I keep on keepin' on! My Daughter Willow!!!
ok, I just noticed... it looks like she is throwing up gang signs! WTH!! LOL!!
Until next time- don't let nothing get you down- let it strengthen you!

Nature Rocks!

This past Saturday me and the hubby took the girls to White City Park, here on the Treasure Coast of Fl. Awesome! We BBQ'd, checked out cool trees, and watched the pond for gators! We will definitely have to do this more often!
Excitement on the way there

Daddy and our girls- gator watching

These trees had spanish moss all over them.

Until next time- enjoy nature- 'cuz it rocks!

Gratitude

This Thanksgiving we barbequed. Everybody is kinda sick and we just decided we will do all the big cooking another day. I think that we should practice giving thanks everyday- I know i do. I am a big gratitude list maker!!! Here is my gratitude list for today:

1. A most awesome supportive husband
2. Healthy kids with the most awesome senses of humor
3. Great friends
4. afternoon naps
5. a roof over my head and food in the fridge
6. morning coffee
7. my own art studio
8. my blooming morning glories
9. always eating dinner together as a family.
10. My health -
This list could go on and on. The little things are very important.
Here is a pic of our B-B-Q Fire!!!

Until next time- what are you grateful for?

Morning Glory

I have been slowly working on getting a garden back after the white fly invasion. One plant at a time. My Morning Glory bloomed. I love it when there are little water droplets on flowers!
Until next time- keep bloomin'!!!

Evolving

Today I did a craft show that I do every year, the only one I do. I would really like to concentrate more on making an online presence. I do this one with my my friend and my mom and we have a great time. It was even slower than last year! I did however sell a handful of items. The best parts of the show were the compliments people gave me on my paintings. I believe people will not go out of their way to give you a compliment unless they actually mean what they are saying. I also noticed that my paintings made a lot of people smile and that was awesome! Even though I did not sell any of my art work, the positive feedback was great confirmation that I am on the right path! The best comment of the day was when a woman came up that had bought some items from me last year and told me she loved my work and that I was totally evolving. It made me do a little "Evolving" happy dance. Tee hee he!
Here are a couple of pictures of my table.

Until next time- Keep evolving!!!

Snail Tree

I am not proud to admit that I killed a beautiful Gardenia tree that my husband gave to me. It was attacked by white flies and I was not fast enough on the eradication of them. Just when my porch was starting to come together. The other night I was on the porch and saw the coolest thing, there were snails all over my dead tree. It looked like a tree that grew snails! LOL Here are some pics. Not too good because they are night shots.

Until next time, keep movin'-

Fast Moving Time

These are my girls on Halloween! Willow was supergirl and Wren was a mermaid princess. Time seems to be moving very fast for me lately. There just never seems to be the time I need to work towards my goals. Sometimes it makes me sad. Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself. I need to remind myself that all things will happen when they are supposed to happen. Putting pressure on myself does not move things along. My girls are 3 and 4 and they will both be in school before I know it. I need to savor these times while they are here. There will be plenty of time to work on my goals once they are in school. For now I will just do what I can, when I can and enjoy each day.

Until next time, Savor the day...

Spreading Our Wings

I took the most amazing course this summer with Kelly Rae Roberts, Artist, Author and Possibilitarian. From this class I have connected with many creative, supportive, truly awesome women. There is really nothing better than having your own little cheering squad at your disposal! In a world where it sometimes seems that women try to sabotage other women (this sucks! WTF?!) it is fabulous to have all this support from smart, creative women! You ladies rock! We have decided to host a blog hop. This one right below!

Trying Something New!

I was looking at my studio the other day and thought that it needed some sprucing up! It is rather plain with white walls. I have lots of different fabrics that I have collected and decided to sew them together to make a cool gypsy type wall hanging. The only problem- I don't really sew! I am persistent and will finish this project however, how it turns out it a whole other story! LOL!! My girlfriend just purchased a new sewing machine and was kind enough to give me her old one. I hope to make her proud on this project! Here are some pics of the fabric.

I will keep y'all updated on the progress of this endeavor!
Until next time-

Stopping to Smell the Roses

Ok, so we weren't really stopping to smell the roses but we did spend some awesome afternoon time blowing and chasing bubbles!
