Letting Go, and Letting it Flow

Flowing waters Pictures, Images and Photos

I have decided that I need to stop putting so much pressure on myself to "Produce or make" things. Every night when the girls go to bed, I am off to the studio with the thoughts that I must make, I must get something listed in my Artfire store, I must do now, get it done now! This enormous amount of pressure I put on myself it ridiculous and unnecessary! These thoughts were totally confirmed when I ran across, by accident, (although I believe there are no accidents!) This great website-by  kellyraeroberts. She was an instant inspiration to me! She had a guest post entitled- Breaking out of a creative rut By: Ali Edwards. You should definitely go check these out! It really spoke to me and told me that it's ok not to be that art/craft creating machine all the time. Part of being creative is also those times that you just don't feel that way and it is OK!
I can only figure 2 reasons why I put so much pressure on myself. One is because I am a stay at home mom and do not contribute financially to the household. I have worked since I was 14 and always had a job. So it is very difficult (in my head) to not bring that dollar home. I am under no pressure from my husband and he never calls it his money or tells me how to spend it. He always stands behind me to follow my dreams and understands the level of difficulty being a stay at home mom entails! It is me and only me that puts this pressure on myself.
The second reason I feel that I put so much pressure on myself is because I am a recovering alcoholic. I have almost 4 years clean and sober. I spent about 20 years being wasted. Sometimes I put the pressure on myself because I feel like I need to make up for lost time. I have pretty much let go of this idea! I know I can never make up for all that time and my life is here and now. This is truly the happiest I have ever been!

So, I highly suggest you check out- http://www.kellyraeroberts.blogspot.com/

Until later I am going to flow like the river above with the full moon of possibilities shining above me!!!!

Vision/ Positivity Board

I have this bulletin board hanging in front of my computer. I used to hang all our bills on it to remember when to pay them. I decided that was not a very good idea- it was sending bad energy out into the Universe! I put all the bills in another place and now I would like to turn this into my Vision/Positivity board. Right now there are a couple of Willow's drawings on it and some phrases. One says- I will not compare myself to others and the other one, Don't be so hard on yourself. I also have the Serenity Prayer. I am going to fill it with things that I would like to see materialize in my life as well as some more reaffirming phrases.
Any ideas of some great phrases, sayings or quotations?
Until next time-

Jupitar Artigras

This past weekend was the Jupiter Artigras which has many amazing artists! I really wanted to go but it is difficult. We only have one car in which my husband uses to go to work. It gives a whole new meaning to- Stay at Home Mom!!! I really am at home all the time except for the walks we take. Monday was the last day of the festival and my husband busted his butt to get work done and gave me a call and said, "You and the girls get ready! When I get home we are going to Artigras!" I was so so excited and so were the girls. Willow and Wren had their face painted for the first time!

Bueatiful sky on the way to the festival

We rode a trolley from the parking lot to Artigras

Willow wanted a butterfly

Wren wanted to be a kitty!
Until next time-

Valentines Day with the Fam

Yesterday was Valentines Day and just like any other day for this stay at home mom. My husband's boss gave everybody a nice little bonus for V-Day, so when he arrived home from work we all went out to dinner.
Willow and Daddy

Excited about eating out

Wren and I- she hates having her pic taken!

Willow and Daddy

Wren and Mommy

Wren finally agreed to give me a nice pic for a Valentines present!
After dinner we planned on all going to Walmart to cruise around and get some necessities. As we were getting into the car, Wren began to have a meltdown! I HAVE TO POOP!!!!! (Valentines is definatley not the way it used to be! LOL!) She didn't want to go in the restaurant but freaked out all the way home. Once we arrived home, she no longer had to poop and did not want to go anywhere! So, Wren stayed home with Daddy and Willow and I went together. We played with all the cool toys and looked at neat stuff. Willow is the best! She never whines or cries about wanting something- so well behaved! (little pat on the back!)

On another note, I finished my Steampunk Debutante which is now up in My Shop! Tonight it is time to start a new project! Excited and ready to go! Hope you guys have a fabulous day- until next time-

Kickin' Dem Blues Away!!!

I think the blues have finally been kicked to the curb for now! Yee Haw! I know this because I feel like making a list! I am a maniac list maker. I love making lists! I have a pad for lists in the kitchen, in the dining room, I have a dry erase board in my art room and to do lists on my I touch! Ok, this may seem a bit obsessive- who cares?! Lists make me feel good, I love to cross the things off that I have finished! Sometimes I make lists and do nothing on them but feel better just having made the list! I am a list freak and proud of it!! LOL!

Have a great Friday Y'all and if you have dem blues- send 'em packing!!!!

Stormy Monday

This is such a great song and played by Buddy Guy and Carlos Santana. WOW!
They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad... This is how I have been feeling lately. Depressed. No desire to do anything. Not create or even really want to get up for that matter. If it wasn't for the kids- I probably would not even get up and that is bad. I've been trying to shake it for days- force myself to do things and it just is not working. I have nothing to feel this way about, yet I do. I guess I will just keep on, keepin' on until it passes.

Kickin Tuesday Tunes

This is one of my favorite Bob Marley tunes! I tried to find one of him playing this song live but couldn't seem to find one. This song always makes me feel good! Sun is Shining.
